After Eight Catering

We prepare, deliver and serve home-cooked meals to self-catering gites. If you're looking forward to a relaxing stay in beautiful Southwest France, but you'd rather not cook every night, or your non-drinking driver wants a night off, this service is for you!

We're Jules and John, and we've lived in France since 2003. Until recently we ran a Bed and Breakfast where the best reviews were of Jules' evening meals. Now we're concentrating on our catering service, and you'll see from Tripadvisor that we have some very satisfied customers. Our service is based in Aillas, Gironde, and covers Monsegur, Duras, La Reole, Marmande, Bazas, Langon and anywhere in-between!

On the next page of our site you'll find some sample menus. Please remember these are just suggestions - if you have something specific you'd like Jules to prepare, just ask her!

There are two types of services we offer:

1. Full Catering. We arrive at a pre-arranged time at your holiday home, set up your dining table, using your cutlery and glasses, then cook and serve the meal from your kitchen, just as if you were in a restaurant, followed by us washing up and leaving you to enjoy your dessert. The price is 25 euros per person, with a minimum charge per booking of 100 euros.

2. Delivery. We cook the booked meal and then deliver it in foil containers for you to warm up and serve yourselves. The price is 20 euros per person, with a minimum charge per booking of 50 euros.

If your party is six people or fewer, you will all need to choose the same starter, the same main course and same dessert. If you have between seven and twelve people you can choose up to two different starters, two different main courses and two different desserts. More than twelve people, you can choose three different starters, main courses and desserts. The choices can be from any of the sample menus - you can mix and match

Speciality menus, vegetarian, vegan and celiac also catered for - just ask!

As we get very busy in July and August, we advise that you book a date with us before you leave the U.K. We can discuss numbers and menus via email.
